Beginning of Writing Philosophy

I use many different kinds of writing to express my personal thoughts and feelings. We use more of these than we think. I write in any way I feel will express my thoughts the best at that time. I like to send messages and texts to other people to start up a conversation, but sometimes I will write poems or make lists that also express my feelings. I only write essays when they are required. But I do try to personalize these essays as much as I can while still staying within the prompt/topic. Although, I do not believe that an essay with an assigned prompt/topic shows as much of my personality as an email or text message. It puts certain limits on what you can write. It also affects how I start my writing. When I start my writing I think about what I want my writing to say to the reader. I think about who is going to read it and what I want them to understand about what I am writing. I organize my feelings sometimes using outlines or just lists. Other times I will just start writing just to be able to put all of it down and paper and then I organize and edit from there. If I am writing a poem or message then I am more likely to just start writing down whatever comes into my mind. I will then look over it and take sentences out and add sentences in so that my writing will be understood better. If I use a template then I will try and apply that template right away when I write an essay. If I am writing a poem or message then I might try to apply the template right away, but I might have to go back and add it in if it does not fit when I write the first time. Then hopefully the finished product express my thoughts and ideas and shows my personality.
